self made millionaires...

Solid, practical points that I've never considered. Consider me a bit naive on these matters, but your article is helping correct that flaw....

I've got the impression from the book that there are a lot of millionaires who subscribe to the "life deferment plan", and so can turn a pretty meagre income into a high net worth over the course of a few decades.

I've always been far more interested in developing a high income, but not been too worried about the frugal side of things, but this book has changed my mind.

I totally agree though, if you're money situation is ok, you should make time and money available for a holiday though :-)

The one lesson I learned the most from there was that millionaires don't look like typical millionaires.

It was the the single best lesson that started me on my personal finance journey to get out of debt and now have a pretty decent net worth.

I am still not sure that I'd do EVERYTHING in that book because it is sometimes too frugal for me (like never going on vacation? What is up with that?), I have learned to prioritize in life what is important to me (food, technology & making my life easier), and what is not (clothing, shoes, furniture).

Fabulously Broke in the City
"Just a girl trying to find a balance between being a Shopaholic and a Saver."

Loved the book.
